Elementary-aged youth are invited to come out to the South Branch Library to participate in a fun literacy event with a Read to a Dog Day session. Although your library has hosted these in the past, this will be the first session conducted at this branch. Come on out (without your pets) and sign-up to read to one of our four-legged friends, thanks to Abilene Therapy Dogs. They’ll be the most patient and polite listeners as youth will be able to come in, select a book to read, and then practice their reading with a furry friend, who won’t judge you from fumbling your words as you read. Don’t miss out on this popular literacy event. Everyone who wants to read will get the chance to do so.
