Abilene Preservation League presents Living History Cemetery Tour

Come take a guided tour to meet actors portraying 10 iconic locals, each who contributed to our city’s founding or growth! Actors will present an intimate look at our city’s history through the sharing of photographs, artifacts and stories from the following: Col. Asa Holt, Luis Santibañez, Chief J.J. Clinton, Nellie Parramore, C.W. Merchant, Dallas Scarborough, Jewel Scarborough, William E. Dyess, Dr. William Butler, and Beatrice Butler.

We are predicting the fall weather will provide guests and actors with a more enjoyable experience as well as having bathrooms on site, drinks for sale, extra chairs for guests to rest, organized parking and golf carts for those needing mobility assistance.

Bring your friends and family, and join us at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery for a live action event sharing some of our city’s cultural heritage while supporting living history and promoting preservation!
