The Abilene Downtown Association hosts a week-long Christmas celebration throughout downtown kicking off with a tree lighting Monday night. Tuesday night is the Main Event with the FOX West Texas Parade of Lights and performances by Abilene ISD students and community music groups throughout downtown. Wednesday night if for furry friends so bring your well-behaved pet downtown. Thursday night is for singing and making Christmas music. Friday night is for shopping and the Belsnickel Beer Stroll. Families can register to attend Christmas in the Garden. Saturday is Family Christmas Downtown with the Reindeer 5K Run, shopping and Abilene Philharmonic’s Christmas show that night at the Abilene Convention Center.
