ArtWalk: Veteran Appreciation. Mini-monthly art festival downtown hosted by the Center for Contemporary Arts.

The theme for this month's ArtWalk is

"Celebrate Veterans"

on Nov. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Presented by The Center for Contemporary Arts and sponsored by Lawrence Hall of Abilene, ArtWalk is paying tribute to veterans and active-duty service members. Veteran artists will demonstrate their techniques and showcase their art.

Come cheer on local veteran artists as they participate in a Paint-Off! Learn about the transformative power of art from the Center's outreach team while they demonstrate an art-making activity from the Center's ArtHEALs for Warriors program. Don't miss a special cake cutting ceremony for the oldest and youngest veteran in attendance!

​Arts and crafts vendors will line the street to display their wares every second Thursday at ArtWalk. The Grace Museum and other downtown locations, including restaurants, will be open late for the festivities.
