Architectural Lighting: Big Dividends for Small Dollars

A comprehensive survey of outside architectural lighting in central downtown will be performed prior to this workshop. Hear highlights of the survey, including specific recommendations for enhancing lighting aesthetics in both the public and private realms. Matt Robinson is co-owner of Nite Time Décor by Lone Star Electric. He is a Master Electrician, with 12 different certifications in permanent lighting, RGB lighting, and landscape lighting. He completes at least 40 hours of continuing education annually, to remain at the vanguard of lighting technology and technique. He has installed permanent lighting on buildings in Seminole, Crowley and Little Elm, Texas and is currently installing RGB lighting throughout all City properties in Little Elm.

Matt was the mastermind of several lighting installations in Downtown Abilene last Christmas that brought the urban core to life. These included dynamic LED installations at Minter Park and Everman Park, as well as static LED works at the Convention Center and Everman Park. He is the lighting contractor working with the Downtown Initiative on the Pine Street Beautification Project, expected to be completed in 2020.
