A Tejano Son of Texas Exhibit Reception

The Texas State Historical Association defines a Tejano as a Texan of Mexican descent. On Sept. 15 at 9:30 am, McMurry University will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month by opening a special historical exhibit at the Amy Graves Ryan Fine Art Center showcasing Tejano pioneer Jose Policarpio “Polly” Rodriguez. The exhibit will be on view through Oct. 15 educating students and the community by sharing true stories about people who contributed to the early history of Texas.
